In order to stimulate the quality and scientific advancement of the community, the XIX SBSR awards papers in the following categories:

  1. Best Scientific Initiation articles;
  2. Best articles presented in the Poster Sessions; and
  3. Best Oral Presentations.

The awarding of the best Scientific Initiation paper will take place during the "Opening Session of the XIX SBSR", April 14th, 2019 (Sunday) at 7:30 pm.

The award of the best poster presentations and the best oral presentation articles will happen during the "Symposium Closing Session", April 17th, 2019 (Wednesday) at 7:00 pm.

The presence of the author or coauthor of the winning works is mandatory at the Symposium Closing Session. In his/her absence the work will be disqualified.

 

CRITERIA FOR THE AWARD OF BEST SCIENTIFIC INITIATION ARTICLES

The two (2) best Scientific Initiation Articles will be indicated by members of the Scientific Technical Committee responsible for the review and approval of all papers submitted to the XIX SBSR.

The Evaluation Committee will consider the relevance of the article for the knowledge area, the scientific quality of the study conducted, clarity and the quality of the text presented.

The Award will be delivered to the first author or a coauthor of the article in the "Opening Session of the XVIII SBSR", on April 14th, 2019 (Sunday) at 7:30 pm.

In the absence of the presenter, the award may be received by one of the co-authors during the Closing Session. In case no author is present, the paper will be disqualified.

 

CRITERIA FOR THE AWARD OF  BEST POSTERS

The poster should have approximately 0.90m width and 1,20m height.

Three Award Committees will be established with each committee selecting the best two posters per day. At the end of the event a total of six (06) awards will be given for the Best Posters.

The members of the Award Committee, when visiting the posters, will not identify themselves.

The Award will be delivered to the presenter of the work at the Closing Session of the event, in the Auditorium, on April 17th, 2019, Wednesday, 7:00 pm.

In the absence of the presenter, the award may be received by one of the co-authors during the Closing Session. In case no author is present, the article will be disqualified.

The following criteria will be considered:

  1. Poster Identification - Name of the paper, the authors and e-mail for contact should be visible.
  2. Clarity of the poster - Its objectives, methodology and results of the study should be clear.
  3. Visual quality of the poster - The creativity and harmony in the poster, and ease of learning its content will be considered.
  4. Presence of author or co-author - In the period from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm will be considered.
  5. Posture of presenter - fluency of knowledge and exposition of paper will be considered.

 

CRITERIA FOR THE AWARD OF BEST ORAL PRESENTATIONS

The three best Oral Presentations will be selected by members of the Scientific Technical Committee responsible for the review and approval of all papers submitted to the XIX SBSR.

The Evaluation Committee will take into account the importance and originality of the subject, the scientific rigor and data quality, the relevance of the article for the area of knowledge, the clarity and quality of the text presented.

The Award will be delivered to the first author or co-author in the Closing Session of the Symposium, April 17th, 2019 (Wednesday) at 7:00 pm.

All winning authors or co-authors will receive the awards during this ceremony. In their absence the article will be disqualified.
